Gland Surgery (GS) to publish monthly starting in 2021

Published: 2020-12-09

In order to meet the increasing demand for gland-focused articles, Gland Surgery (GS) will begin publishing 12 issues per year in January 2021.

As a journal launched in May 2012, GS has been a bimonthly publication since 2015. The journal published at least 6 issues per volume since a bi-month arrangement. Recent years have witnessed the rapid growth of submissions to Gland Surgery, especially from the time when GS is indexed in SCIE at the end of 2018. Therefore, we formally announce that Gland Surgery (GS) is to publish monthly starting in 2021. The frequency increase is a direct response to the volume of high-quality submissions received by the journal and will reduce each article's time-to-publication.

Gland Surgery is an open access, peer-reviewed journal focusing on recent scientific advances in gland diseases. The latest impact factor (2019 citation year) is 2.190. GS publishes original articles, case reports, cutting-edge reviews, surgical techniques and visualized surgery that promote excellence in the clinical practice of gland diseases, thus representing a source of valuable, novel information for clinical and basic researchers alike.

We believe the frequency increase in 2021 will allow GS to continue thriving by attracting papers from worldwide scholars and researchers in the field!
