Dr. Tang graduated from University of South China and received her master’s degree in plastic and reconstruction surgery form Peking Union Medical College. She finished her surgical residency training and became a specialist in breast surgery at Hunan Tumor Hospital in 2011. For the past 4 years, she has been working as a postdoctoral fellow at Surgical Oncology of Massachusetts General Hospital. 

Since 2013, Dr. Tang has published 13 peer review journal papers in SCI-indexed journals which have had more than 80 citations in the past 2 years. She has published 1 paper on the Chinese core journal and edited 1 chapter of an oncoplastic surgery book. She has won national research award “The Breast Journal Award” twice and is currently a member of American Society of Breast Disease. 

Dr. Tang’s research interests include oncoplastic breast procedures, breast cancer shaved cavity margins, nipple sparing mastectomy, and novel breast imaging methods.
