Xiong-bing Zu, MD, PhD

As a visiting scholar, Dr. Zu received clinic training in MGH of Harvard University sponsored by the National CSC from May 2010 to November 2010.
Currently, Dr. Zu is director of Xiangya medical journal press, deputy director of the CSU Institute of Urology, director of the CSU Institute of Andrology, committee member of Hunan Youth Federation, and a core young teacher of Hunan ordinary college,. Dr. Zu also participates in "225" project of Hunan provincial high-level health personnel, talent of CSU “531” project.
In academic practice, Dr. Zu has participated in more than 10 national or provincial academic societies, such as China Sexology Association(CSA), Youth Committee of Chinese Urology Association(CUA).
In clinic, under the leadership of Dr. Zu, his team has received 7 items awards, including the third prize of Hunan provincial science and technology progress award, the first and second prize of Hunan provincial medical technology award, the first prize of Medical achievement award, etc.
In scientific research, under the leadership of Dr. Zu, his team obtained three projects funding from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one outstanding youth fund and one key project of Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and other 4 projects of provincial or municipal. He published 27 SCI papers as first or corresponding author, such as European Urology and Ann Surg Oncol. And he also published 8 national level research papers, such as Chin J Exp Surg. He has written 5 original books as deputy chief-editor or editor. He also serves as a reviewer and member of editorial board for a variety of journals.
In teaching, under the leadership of Dr. Zu, his team obtained one educational reform project of CSU college student, one educational reform project of CSU graduate student, one project of Education Commission of Hunan Province. He published 3 papers on teaching field as first author. He won the second award of CSU high education teaching achievement and a college teacher award(the Southwest Aluminum Teaching award).
