Xin-sheng Lv, MD

Dr. Xin-sheng Lv graduated from the Department of Medicine, Hunan Medical College in 1958, and later was trained in Cambridge University and Birmingham University Medical School in 1996 and in Yale University School of Medicine from 1981 to 1983. Dr. Lv currently was a professor of surgery and supervisor for doctoral candidates in the Department of Surgery of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. In the Xiangya Hospital, he was also the honorary director of the Department of Surgery, director of the Institute of Organ Transplantation, and the deputy head of the Expert Group.
He is the president/editor-in-chief of the Chinese Journal of General Surgery and the associate editor of the Journal of World Chinese Medicine. He served as the standing member or member of over 10 academic journals including Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery and Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery.
He was the co-chairman of the "Association of General Surgery in Six Provinces in Central South China", the executive council member of Hunan Medical Association, and chairman of Hunan General Surgery Society.
He has published more than 200 articles in academic journals. He is also the author or co-author of over 20 books and textbooks in the field of surgery.
