Abhishek Chatterjee is a US board-certified plastic surgeon and fellowship trained breast surgical oncologist whose academic appointment at Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts includes being chief of plastic surgery. His practice includes oncoplastic surgery, where he performs both the oncologic resection of the breast cancer and the reconstruction, in addition to general plastic surgery.

His background in surgical training began at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center under the mentorship of well renowned and respected plastic surgeons such as Dr. Carolyn Kerrigan. He followed this with an accredited breast cancer fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. By extensive training in both plastic surgery and breast surgical oncology, Dr. Chatterjee has a unique perspective in expanding the role of breast conservation surgical options using oncoplastic surgical techniques.

In addition to his busy clinical practice, Dr. Chatterjee has research interests in outcomes research focused in breast surgery, oncoplastic surgery, and general plastic surgery topics, and uses his masters of business administration background to perform value analysis research in the form of cost-utility assessment studies. He has published extensively in these areas.
