Dr. Yi-Ke Zeng obtained his Bachelor Degree of Medicine at Jinan University in 1991. He started residency at Department of General Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in 1994 and started researches and completed his laparoscopic surgical training and obtain my Clinical Master degree of Surgery at Ji’nan University in 2005. He then obtained his doctoral degree at Sun Yat-Sen University in 2012. During the four years doctoral studies he was engaged in the studies for the mechanism of gastrointestinal caner metastasis and the laparoscopy-assisted surgery for gastric cancer. One of his research paper was published on Ann Surg 2012 (Zeng YK, Yang ZL, Peng JS, Lin HS, Cai L. Laparoscopy-assisted versus open distal gastrectomy for early gastric cancer: evidence from randomized and nonrandomized clinical trials. Ann Surg. 2012 Jul;256(1):39-52.). 

Now his research interests focus on Natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery such as trans-oral thyroid and parathyroid surgery, trans-anal surgery for rectal cancer, and single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS).
