Dmytro Unukovych, MD, PhD

Dr. Dmytro Unukovych did his medical and surgical training at the National Medical University in Kiev, Ukraine. After completion of the surgical residency he received PhD degree in the field of breast surgery and reconstruction at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. He has also been working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Plastic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and completed a fellowship in Clinical and Experimental Microsurgery at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Sant’Andrea Hospital, La Sapienza Universita di Roma, Italy.
The research interests of Dr. Unukovych are within the clinical- and patient reported outcome measures in breast reconstruction, with a published experience in contralateral risk-reducing mastectomy, postmastectomy radiotherapy, as well as treatment of complications after biomaterial injections.
Dr. Dmytro Unukovych is currently working as breast surgeon at the Breast Center, Capio St Gorans Hospital in Stockholm. He is a member of International Society of Surgery (ISS), Breast Surgery International (BSI), Swedish Society of Surgery (SKF) and Swedish Society of Breast Surgeons (SFFB).
