The special issue on “Current controversies in endocrine surgery” (Table 1) edited by Prof. Antonio Sitges-Serra, from Hospital del Mar, Spain, will describe the most controversial and burning topics that can be found currently in the specialty of endocrine surgery. Another one is on “New technology in endocrine surgery” (Table 2). Prof. Emad Kandil from Tulane University School of Medicine will serve as the guest editor, presenting a picture of current progress of new technologies in the area of endocrine surgery.},
